NOW OPEN for the 2024 SEASON!

“Damn Good” Blueberries

If you haven’t added blueberry picking to your family’s annual traditions, we’d love to show you what makes it our favorite thing to do each summer! There aren’t many things more rewarding than picking a perfectly ripe blueberry and enjoying the exceptional flavor that you only get from fresh, local produce. While picking blueberries is fun for the whole family, we like to take it up a notch with food trucks, music, and outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy.

We never imagined that we’d buy a farm and make this big of a deal out of blueberries, but when John brought home 2,600 blueberry bushes in 2016, we knew we wanted to make it something our whole community could get excited about. So, plan to come hang out with us in June and July, bring your friends and family, and grab some of the best blueberries you’ll ever have! We can’t wait to see you!

When does your blueberry season start?

Please head over to our facebook page for the most up to date information about blueberry season. The season typically starts near the beginning of June and ends in mid-July.

Is blueberry picking open rain or shine?

The safety of our visitors and staff is our #1 priority.  In the event of lightning, we will close until conditions are safe. Summer weather in Georgia is unpredictable at best, so we have installed our very own weather station, and you can check the weather at the farm anytime to see current weather conditions. All weather opening/closing updates will be posted to our social media accounts.

How much does it cost to pick my own blueberries?

You may bring your own bucket from home. Pick as many blueberries as you like! Once you’re finished, we will weigh them. The cost is $3.50 per pound.

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Discover) processed through Clover.

Do you offer pre-picked berries?

Pre-picked blueberries are available for purchase in clamshell containers for $8:00/each. Please contact us to check availability of pre-picked blueberries.

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Discover) processed through Clover.

Is blueberry picking appropriate for my whole family?

Blueberry picking is the perfect summer family activity! When ripe, blueberries are easy to pick, and there is no skill required. Parking is convenient to the orchard, and there are plenty of berries at all heights. Strollers are welcome and encouraged for little ones who may want shade. We don’t use pesticides on our blueberries, so you can eat them right off the bush!

Do we need to reserve a time to pick blueberries?

You do not need to reserve a time to pick blueberries. Please check our social media pages for the latest updates on weather and hours.

Do you have other goods and merchandise?

Yes! Come visit us in the Mercantile after you pick blueberries to check out our merchandise. T-shirts, hats, visors are back with expanded sizes and multiple styles for the whole family – including onesies for your littles! We also have custom stoneware berry bowls, pie plates and dog dishes by Callaway Clay.  Also introducing jams with DGD Farms blueberries and honey from hives kept on the farm this Spring.

Finally we also sell bottled water and sports drinks to keep you hydrated!

Do you have a public restroom?

Yes. We have an ADA compliant family restroom located at Mercantile along with a hand washing station on the exterior of the building. We also have restrooms and a water fountain adjacent to the blueberry field.

KIND WORDS from OUR VISITORS

Friendly folks and so many delicious blueberries! We definitely will be back for more because even though we picked a lot, the blueberries are so good they won’t last long in our house!

-Lydia J.

We went for the first time today and had a great experience! Tons of delicious blueberries to pick. The kids really loved it! The owners were also very friendly and welcoming.

-Cathy A.

It was so clean and well organized and perfect for our kids. The kids could easily pick the 3 different types of berries and pick which one was their favorite. We will be back!
